Rich Wilde and the Amulet of Dead slot review

Rich Wilde is back in another ancient Egypt saga that is pleasantly familiar for all those who enjoy PlaynGo’s successful “Book of” series of games.  Visually similar to Book of Dead & Legacy of Dead, Amulet Of Dead is a spin-off with added features of today’s popular geometrics such as expanding symbols, stacked wilds, stacked multipliers and the tried but true scatters which trigger a bonus round for a chance to reach a 2,500x max win.  While this is far from the highest paying max win PlaynGo game, there’s still lots to love for those needing something new.

Rich Wilde and the Amulet of Dead Features

Scatters are based on the name of the game.  You can land an Amulet scatter on any of the reels and landing 5 scatters pays you 100x your bet.  Scatters also serve as Wild symbols in the game and landing 3 scatters triggers the bonus round where a special symbol is selected for you.  This symbol serves as a wild for your free spins and expands vertically when landed.  This results in multiple winning bet lines which can build your win quickly.  Land 3 scatters in the bonus round rewards you with an additional 10 free spins.

Multipliers and Wilds are called Thoth Multiplers and Thoth Wilds which land on reels 2, 3 and 4 only.  The Thoth Wilds work like typical wilds usually do and trigger the Thoth Multiplier when landing fully stacked.  You can benefit from a 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier which applies to all wins!

All wins can be gambled up to 5 times in a row.  Like other wagered wins, you choose the correct color or suit of facedown cards, and this will either double or quadruple your winnings.  It’s all or nothing and guessing wrong will lose all round winnings.

Review Summary

If you are a fan of Rich Wilde and Cat Wilde games, Amulet of Dead offers a familiar look and function but with added wilds and multipliers to make it fresh and different.  It won’t replace Book of Dead or Legacy of Dead but offers an alternative when you feel Book or Legacy is cold or just tired of the older games but appreciate the familiarity of the series.
